The Generosity Project - An Idea Emerging into a Story

This project is about Possibility.
It flows from a heartfelt desire to make a contribution to the World, and in so doing, for all of us to recognize and tap into our potential to make contributions far beyond our traditional expectations. All of us have different things to share, gifts of knowledge, skills, time, money... and for a variety of reasons we tend to withhold some (perhaps many?) of those gifts. We are fortunate to have these lives to live and these capacities to share, yet we tend to live in cultures that organize societies, economies and political imperatives in ways that make it more difficult to do so. It may even be seen as naive, simplistic, or otherwise counter to our best interests to act from a place of generosity in many of the places we inhabit and in many of the businesses in which we engage.
And then there is Possibility. It is the opportunity to live our lives from a 'Place of Generosity," as I like to call it. This is an attitude towards the world that emerges from abundance, rather than scarcity, from hope, rather than fear, from capacity, rather than deficit. There are many pressing issues facing us in this important period of history, and if we are to address them effectively, we must consider tapping ways of doing things that are new, innovative, and inviting us to do the impossible.
That is Possibility. That is the underlying thinking behind the Generosity Project.
